About Dr. Monaco

Dr. Monaco a Health and Care Professions Council is a HCPC registered Clinical and Forensic Practitioner Psychologist, as well as Chartered Clinical Psychologist and Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society (BPS). He is also credentialed in the United States, in both California and New York as a Licensed Psychologist, and also in Belgium as a Psychologue.

He completed his doctoral studies at the California School of Professional Psychology in San Francisco, and also earned a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from San Francisco State University.

Dr. Monaco is proud to collaborate with The House Partnership, where he provides clinical psychological services at their Snow Hill and Wimpole Street clinics.  In addition, he routinely collaborates with other psychologists at SpanLife Psychology, providing training, consultation, and expert witness evaluations for solicitors, Local Authorities, and Courts.

In January 2015, Monaco Psychological Services became an international endeavour, and Dr. Monaco is now offering individual and relationship psychotherapy, consultation, and supervision services to English-speaking clients in Paris, from his cabinet privé in the 8th arrondissement.

Dr. Monaco has developed specialist skills in brief and long-term individual psychotherapy, marital/relationship psychotherapy, psychological assessments and evaluations, expert witness reports and court testimony, consulting military members and their families during deployments and/or reintegration, and teaching/supervising doctoral and masters level students.

He works with adolescents and adults who present with a wide variety of symptoms, including depression and mood disorders, relationship difficulties, sexual abuse and trauma histories, substance misuse/dependence, Internet addiction, and compulsive sexual behaviour.

Previously, Dr. Monaco has held Consultant Psychologist positions at a private psychiatric hospital in London, and several forensic, inpatient, and outpatient facilities in the United States. In addition, he has extensive clinical and supervisory experience working in forensic/correctional facilities and community settings where he provided individual and group psychotherapy, and managed multidisciplinary staffs.
